Powell, who has season-best times of 9.82 seconds in the 100m and 19.97 seconds in the 200, ended his 2010 season because of an inflammation in his lower back, in the region of his spine, and was advised by doctors to take a six-week break from competition, forcing him to miss several meets on the European and Diamond League circuit.

Powell remains one of the hottest properties in the world and continues to enjoy the respect of the top promoters across the globe.

"There has been no indication that he (Powell) has lost any appeal across the globe. In fact, right now we have five meet directors who are trying to make us offers as we speak. Every meet wants Asafa Powell there, he is still a very popular athlete," assured Doyle. "To suggest that he is not exciting to watch nor still in demand is wrong."

Passing of Scott Davis

August 18, 2010, 11:07pm

Doyle Management is sad to acknowledge the passing of Mr. Scott Davis. Scott was the long time meet director of the Mt. SAC Relays and the announcing voice of the Pre Classic and many of the World’s top meets, but more than that, Scott was a true friend and relentless promoter of the sport. Scott will be missed by all, and he will not be forgotten.
